Luann Interviews Flora Dell Laster Souder

by Margaret on August 28, 2011

Here’s the first part. I did a bit of processing to get rid of some of the cassette noise and to level out the sound and the speed but I’m no professional so you get what you paid for.
Here’s the link for part 1.

What she did for fun as a young single (ps Flora was a Democrat!)  link for part 2

Flora sings.  If you can’t carry a tune now you know where that genetic heritage came from. How she disciplined her kids and why they did better during the depression than after  note: The food stamps they used then weren’t like the ones today. Meat, sugar, butter and eggs were rationed. You could buy them but only a limited amount. link for part 3

Final part of the interview.  Cars, planes, world events, electricity and more link for part 4

THANKS Margaret for posting thispart of the interview. I loved hearing Grandma Flo’s voice again.

The sound of their voices was mostly good – clear (Lu Ann sounds so young!) I heard a sound like gurgling water – like one would hear from a big water bottle.

Hi,
That was fun! LuAnn thanks for sharing. It would be nice to have audio videos for all our family. Every student has to do these types of interviews for school even multiple times. We should do them when we are older!
